Nigeria confirms four new cases of coronavirus in Lagos, Abuja

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday 31 March 2020 confirmed four new cases bringing the total number of people infected in the country since the outbreak of the disease to 139.

The Centre said nine people have been discharged with two deaths while some would soon be discharge from the isolation centres.

The four new cases comprises on one in Lagos and three in Abuja.

The lockdown directive by President Buhari commenced in Lagos and Abuja on Tuesday as major roads in the cities were deserted as residents stayed at home.
