CISME, PFAN kicked-off project development, financing workshop

A three-day Project Development and Financing workshop for West African countries put together by Centre for Investments, Sustainable Development Management and Environment (CISME) and Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) kicked-off in Lagos on Monday May 29, 2017.
The workshop, being attended by participants from Europe, Middle East, China, Nigeria and other African country is the Project Development and Financing workshop 3rd Cycle of the West Africa Forum for Clean Energy Financing (WAFCEF3).
Chairman, CISME, Prince Lekan Fadina, said the workshop is timely and important to Nigeria in many ways as its is in line with the recent Federal Government launching of Green Climate Bond, the ratification of the Paris Climate Change Agreement by the president and the diversification programme of the government.
He went further, “We are particularly interested in this workshop which is timely and important to Nigeria in many ways as it is in line with the recent Federal Government launching of Green Climate Bond, the ratification of the Paris Climate Change Agreement by the Nigeria President, the diversification programme of the present administration and the new economy policy of the federal government of Nigeria.”
Other PFAN partners include United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Climate Technology Initiative, USAID, and Energy Technology Network among others. The three-day workshop will end on Wednesday May 31, 2017.
